Milli Janatková, in collaboration with her husband, created and successfully completed a three-month campaign for the non-profit organization Alliance for Individualized Support (AIP). This Alliance brings together around sixty parent, patient, and professional organizations dedicated to informal caregivers and their loved ones with serious disabilities or diseases. Through this campaign, the Alliance secured funding for further meaningful activities. What exactly does the Alliance do?
- It advocates for the rights of specific families,
- provides feedback on the Social Services Act,
- supports legislative amendments that increase care allowances,
- it helped define caregiving persons in law and strives for their financial recognition,
- publishes professional literature,
- organizes conferences and workshops,
- works to ensure the availability of social services in local communities,
- raises public awareness through documentary videos about caregiving families,
- it is also active in advocacy and holds regular meetings with policymakers.
